It's a good hotel inbetween Sesame place and Poconnos if you are planning to cover both in single trip. I'm taking 1 star away just because that I had asked for a crib in the room during my booking but I had to remind them multiple times before getting it on the last day. Else good breakfast, cordial staff and comfy place.
Nice, friendly staff. Lobby and bar area are updated. Room furniture seems to be newer as well (with Keurig coffee machines!). I requested a quiet room and I was placed in a room toward the far end of the hallway, at the opposite end of the elevator. It would have been a quiet room except that the walls are paper thin and a group of people came back to their room that was adjacent to mine at 3AM and talked until 4AM. They weren't yelling, maybe they were speaking loudly, but it was enough to keep me awake. I went to the fitness center to find that the strength machines do not work- the upper body machine weights would get stuck, and the lower body machine adjuster did not work. The aerobic machines seem to work OK. The breakfast buffet is good, with an array of eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and a special that changes each day (they had fried chicken with gravy and an oatmeal special when I stayed). They also have breads, yogurts, cereals, and fruit. Overall the food was good. I'm only staying at the Holiday Inn because of the points (my work only has one hotel chain in a country I will be traveling to frequently and it happens to be an IHG Hotel). I've stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Lansdale across the street from this Holiday Inn numerous times and prefer that hotel much more to this. I am not dissatisfied with my stay at Holiday Inn, I guess I get what I pay for!
The rooms and restraunt aren't why I gave this hotel 5 stars, the staff is why I gave this hotel 5 stars. I don't think I could sing their praises enough, but I will say that staff like that is why I will remember this place and come back.
Rooms are clean and fairly modern. They could use a couple small fixes here and there but overall very nice.
Please DO NOT attend here this weekend or any of the upcoming holidays. They have bed bugs in the hotel! I found one under my mattress and quickly left!
Restaurant was good. Hotel service wasn't great and I didn't get the room type I reserved. Easy access to the turnpike.
It also had a nice bar and restaurant on the ground floor.
